Prayers for Kim

This is my father and mother in law holding on eof our then infants. It looks a bit like Thomas, but it is difficult for me to distinguish them in these old photos.
Mary snugles with her little brother.

Those were the days! Late night feedings and poopy diapers but we could leve them on the floor and they would stay put!

The third and the fourth. Having no fun. No fun at all.

still more camping

Mary practices clicking her heels.

Peter discovers that his bat can double as a sword, and he thanks it.

Nice close up of Thomas.

Peter coyly poses.

Lauren is visited by a cold butterfly of happiness.

More camping

Before the fall. We knew it was coming, and I am glad I got this one of her relatively dry.

All four getting dressed for the morning. Mary was a big help.

A nice, quiet shot of Thomas. It happens.

There was lots of casting practice, and lots of lines up in trees as well.

You cannot keep Lauren out of the sand. We do not try.

First camping trip

This tent seemed huge, till we all got in it! Mary and her friend slept in a two person tent to give us room in this one. The children were a little nervous the first night about some owls we heard, but they did OK.

Mary hugs Peter while Noel looks on.

Peter chows. Food was a major concern as these three can be PICKY eaters. But for the most part, everyone did fine.

OK, this fish is tiny, but the children enjoyed it all the same.

Lauren poses or gets an attitude, I forget which. The bikes were a lot of fun for the little ones.

Set the way back machine for 2002 Sherman

Lauren worries about getting her temperature taken.

Tiny Thomas waking up. Notice the size of the hand compared to the size of the infant.

My mother feeding Peter. He was our big baby at 3 lbs.

This photo can give you an idea of how tiny they were. I do not often post these photos for many reasons: It is hard for me to tell who is who, and that is a little embarassing; It seems like two ages ago, and so many of the photos I threw away when I edited them. See, I did not know that I needed to save a large, unedited copy. So for many of these early photos, there will never be alarge print. And it is my fault. And I hate thinking about it.

recent edits

It takes me more time to edit photos of the children than it does to take them. So I have a backlog of editing to do. These are some recent edits, I think they are from May. This is a nice, soft photo of Lauren.
From a color, digital original. I like Thomas' intense look in this one.

Brothers.

A not at all soft photo of Lauren. I like this one a lot, there is a demented quality to it!

more from the birthday

Peter looks in pain, I find that strangely comical as he gazes at his cake.

A wonderful picture of longing.

Sensory deprivation.

Hear no evil.

More from the park

Well, yeah, I did sit them there, but if you think I could pose them effectively, you don't have triplets.

It looks as if I overdid the burning in around his head. Really, the leaves and shadows are that dark!
If ya get a pic that just doesn't work in color, try it in black and white. With the contrast jumped up a bit, I like this one in mono.

Guilty. I made them hold hands. But, they didn't mind a bit.

Christmas

Our youngest children's best friend, Lettie.

I adore photos of my children like this one. Their personality shines, or somethings, right through.

The older boys Sunday School class. The last shepherd on the right, looking tired, is our son Peter, who turned out to be quite the camera hog.

Wise indeed.

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year. God Bless you!
