Set the way back machine for 2002 Sherman

Lauren worries about getting her temperature taken.

Tiny Thomas waking up. Notice the size of the hand compared to the size of the infant.

My mother feeding Peter. He was our big baby at 3 lbs.

This photo can give you an idea of how tiny they were. I do not often post these photos for many reasons: It is hard for me to tell who is who, and that is a little embarassing; It seems like two ages ago, and so many of the photos I threw away when I edited them. See, I did not know that I needed to save a large, unedited copy. So for many of these early photos, there will never be alarge print. And it is my fault. And I hate thinking about it.

Thanks for your kind advice on the donor embryo idea. I'd be interested in that but I am probably now a bit too old for an infant. What I had not said on Dr. Helen's blog was that shortly after the premature menopause for my wife, I myself became ill with a chronic condition, had to spend years on steroids, and to make a long story short I am now a bit older than you are.

It has been a blessing that I am now in remission and have been given medical clearance to adopt, but while I think we could be good for the right older child (9-14 years old, perhaps), I'd be well into my 60's before an infant was out of high school. I appreciate your kindness and I will indeed think about your idea some more.

Incidentally your pictures are great--you have been blessed.

Saw your post at Dr. Helen's site re: people treating their dogs like kids and decided to stop by and see your "kids". So small and those boys look like a handful. Wonderful family pictures.

William, thanks for the back story. It is great that your health has improved, I do not envy you the time on steroids. Adoption rocks, it did for me anyway!

God bless you and yours. I am praying for your wisdom and peace as you seek answers. I would be happy to hear of your journey, and of course, please consider blogging it!

Fpnews, thanks so much for visiting! My flickr account is getting better, more populated with artsy photos. Less children, more landscapes! Please follow the link to check it out some time!
